Acceptable Items & Quality Guidelines - Please Read
In general, Movers and Shakers only takes basic living room, dining, and bedroom furniture, as most of our clients have limited living space.  We also take washers and electric dryers.

Though our furniture is used, we strive to give our clients furniture of reasonable quality.  As such, we ask that you not donate your item if it is damaged or significantly worn.  Disposing of unusable furniture is both costly and time-consuming for our ministry.

Please note that we reserve the right to refuse any item up to and including the time of pickup. If you have any questions regarding acceptable items or the quality of your furniture, please click here for a complete list of items that we accept and our quality standards. 

Donation Pickup Area
To make the best use of volunteers' time, our current pickup area is roughly bounded by I-85 to the east, GA 400 to the west, I-285 to the south, and GA 20 to the north.   Consequently, we can only accept donations in the following Metro Atlanta cities:

Please note that we reserve the right to decline donations based on proximity to the stated boundaries.  We appreciate your understanding in these restrictions and we hope to expand these boundaries in the near future.
